Abstract

Ultrasound-guided perineural hydrodissection is one of the techniques that can release the entrapped peripheral nerve. Here, we report a case of sural nerve entrapment in a 75-years old female presented with paresthesia and numbness along the lateral border of the right foot and ankle after calcaneous stress fracture. The patient was treated unsuccessfully for several months with conservative management. A noteworthy improvement in pain and functional mobility was observed after we performed ultrasound-guided perineural hydrodissection around the area of sural nerve entrapment. From this result, perineural hydrodissection is one of the effective and novel options that can be used for entrapment sural neuropathy.
